Good Practices - Introduction

This section is the first of the three series of technical support tools and common sense advice for current and future coordinators of learning festivals. (You will find more technical support tools under “cooperation models” and “evaluation methods”.) It is based on what is considered to be good and successful practice in the partner countries of the IntALWinE network, and will hopefully promote and improve learning festivals and adult learners weeks – or create new ones!

Five categories have been identified from where good practice can be derived. These categories constitute key elements of learning festivals: events and activities, general promotional material, media attention, sponsorships, and awards.

Of course, all these elements are related to each other, and they are partly overlapping.

Considering the first category (events and activities), the network partner country where the activity has already been organized and is considered good and successful practice, is indicated. This may help interested readers to get in touch with the respective learning festival coordinator in order to learn more about an interesting event (see: network partners). For the other four categories, the examples are indicated without the country of origin.
